Start here if the app stays on Connecting or cannot set up the VPN.
- Check Server status. Choose an online location in the app. A location marked Coming soon is not available yet.
- If the app stays on Connecting for about a minute, stop that attempt. Choose Disconnect if a connection is active, then check that an ordinary website loads.
- If normal internet does not work, reconnect to Wi-Fi or try another network. Complete any Wi-Fi sign-in page first.
- Open Elsewhere VPN, check that you are signed in with an active plan, then press Connect. Approve the system’s VPN permission prompt if shown.
- If it still fails, disconnect, close and reopen the app, then retry once. A work, school, or public network may block VPN connections; try another network you are allowed to use.

Contact customer supportRestore browsing when traffic is paused or pages stop loading.
- Read Tunnel status in the app. If it says reconnecting or checking access, allow a short time for recovery.
- Check Server status. If the current location is temporarily offline, disconnect and choose an online location.
- To check your normal connection, choose Disconnect. If offered, use Disconnect and use normal internet and confirm.
- Open a website. If it still will not load, fix the Wi-Fi or cellular connection first. If it loads, return to Elsewhere VPN and connect again.
- If the status says your device was removed or your plan needs attention, follow the matching guide below.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportQuick checks for slow browsing, buffering, or downloads.
- Choose an online VPN location close to you. Distance and network congestion can affect speed.
- Pause large downloads or backups on your devices. Try a stronger Wi-Fi signal or a wired connection if available.
- Disconnect briefly and compare the same website or download. If it is slow without the VPN too, the local network or destination may be the cause.
- Reconnect, then try another online location if one is available. Check Server status for the original location.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportHelp with Wi-Fi changes, cellular switches, and interrupted connections.
- Check that Wi-Fi or cellular has a usable signal. The VPN cannot reconnect while the device has no internet connection.
- In the Apple app, open Settings → Connection protection and check Auto-reconnect. It is included when Connect automatically is on.
- After changing networks, allow the app to recover. Check for Connected before relying on VPN protection.
- If it keeps failing, check Server status and try another online location or a more stable network.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportUse this when most of the internet works but one service does not.
- Confirm another website loads. If nothing works, use the Connected, but no internet guide instead.
- Refresh the affected page or fully close and reopen that app. A signed-in service may remember your earlier location.
- Try another online VPN location, if available. Some services restrict VPN addresses or decide location using your account, cookies, or device location.
- If you choose to disconnect to use that service, reconnect to the VPN afterwards.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportConnect to hotel, airport, school, or café Wi-Fi.
- Choose Disconnect in Elsewhere VPN so the Wi-Fi sign-in page can open.
- Open your device’s Wi-Fi settings, select the network, and complete its sign-in or acceptance page.
- Check that the internet works, then open Elsewhere VPN and press Connect.
- If the network still blocks the VPN, try another permitted network. Repeatedly reinstalling the app will not remove a network restriction.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportRemove one old device, then connect on the new one.
- Choose Device manager in the limit message or open Device manager on the website. In the Apple app it is also under Settings → Account.
- Find the device you no longer use, choose Remove, and confirm. That device loses VPN access.
- Wait until removal finishes and the slot becomes available.
- Return to the new device and press Connect. Sign in again if the app asks.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportKeep track of the devices authorized to use your plan.
- Open Your account and choose Device manager. This option is available with an active plan.
- Use the device name, platform, and recent activity to find the right device. Recently connected is an approximate activity indicator.
- Choose Remove and confirm. Wait for the removal to finish before using the freed slot.
- If you do not recognize a device, also reset your password and review the rest of the list.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportWhat the sign-out message means and how to add the device back.
- This device’s authorization was removed through Device manager. Its saved VPN configuration cannot restore that authorization.
- Disconnect the VPN if internet access is paused. Open the app and sign in again with your account.
- Press Connect to register the device again. If all five slots are taken, remove an old device first.
- If you did not expect the removal, reset your password and review Device manager.

- Use the email address you registered with. Check for typing mistakes and unwanted spaces in the password.
- If the email already has an account, choose Sign in instead of creating another account.
- If asked to verify your email, use the verification email or choose Resend verification email on the sign-in page.
- If the password is not accepted, request a password reset. After repeated attempts, wait a few minutes before trying again.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportGet a fresh link and finish creating your account.
- Check the email address you entered, then look in your inbox, junk, and spam folders.

- Open the newest confirmation link in your email. It signs you in automatically, including when your mail app opens a different browser.

Still need help?
Contact customer supportChoose a new password when you cannot sign in.
- Open Reset password, enter your account email, and request a reset link.
- Open the newest reset email in the same browser and on the same device used to request it. Check junk or spam if it is missing.

Contact customer supportCheck the payment and make sure you are using the right account.
- Open Your account using the same email you used before checkout.
- Check the subscription status. Allow a short time for payment confirmation, then reload the page. An unfinished or failed payment does not activate access.
- When the website shows active access, reopen the app. If it still shows no plan, disconnect, sign out, and sign back in with that same email.
- If you have a successful payment receipt but access is still missing, keep the receipt and note the exact error. Use the payment-support option in your receipt for transaction questions.
Still need help?

- Open Your account within 14 days of your first-ever payment to Elsewhere VPN.
- If eligible, choose Request a 14-day refund. Review the message, then confirm Refund and cancel.
- Check the result on the account page. A successful refund request cancels the subscription and ends VPN access.

Contact customer supportRemove your login and devices and stop subscription renewal.

- On the website, open Your account → Delete account. In the app, start with Settings → Account → Manage account.
- Read what will be removed, enter your current password, and choose Delete account. Confirm Delete permanently in the final prompt.
- Wait for the completion message. Cleanup continues if you close the page. If deletion is temporarily unavailable, use Try again when offered; the account is not deleted until cleanup completes.
Saved payment methods are removed from the dedicated billing customer. Required transaction records and limited retention exceptions are described in the Privacy policy.

Still need help?
Contact customer supportUnderstand what protects your traffic while the VPN is running.
- In the Apple app, open Settings → Connection protection. DNS protection is active while connected, and the VPN routes IPv4 and IPv6 traffic.
- The kill switch keeps traffic inside the VPN during interruptions. Internet access may pause while the connection recovers.
- Keep Auto-reconnect on if you want recovery after interruptions. It is included when Connect automatically is on.
- To deliberately use normal internet, choose Disconnect and confirm any warning. Press Connect again when you want VPN protection back.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportChoose when the Apple app starts and when the VPN connects.
- Connect once to finish VPN setup, then open Settings → General.
- On Mac, Launch at login starts the app quietly in the menu bar when you log in. It does not, by itself, connect the VPN.
- On Mac, Connect automatically connects now and when the app starts. Disconnect keeps it off until you press Connect or restart the app.
- On iPhone or iPad, Connect automatically connects now and reconnects after you restart and unlock the device. Disconnect keeps it off until you tap Connect again.
What about Auto-reconnect?
Under Connection protection, Auto-reconnect recovers from interruptions after you connect, including while the app is closed. A manual Disconnect pauses it. It is included while Connect automatically is on.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportUnderstand browsing privacy, account records, and signup country.
- Browsing activity is not logged: the VPN does not keep your browsing history, DNS queries, or traffic contents.
- Account, payment, and device records are separate. They let you sign in, use your subscription, manage five devices, and prevent unauthorized access.
- At website signup, we automatically save an estimated country from your connection to organize support and spot regional issues. This feature does not save your IP address, city, or location history. VPNs and travel can affect the estimate. The country record is removed when account deletion completes.
- The lifetime refund offer uses a protected email fingerprint and limited payment history, including after account deletion. This is personal data, not an anonymous browsing profile.
- Read the Privacy policy for retention, service providers, and privacy choices. Use Your account to manage or delete your account.
Still need help?
Contact customer supportUnsubscribe without deleting your VPN account.
- Open the unsubscribe or email-preferences link in an Elsewhere VPN marketing email. If you opted in during deletion, you can also use Manage email preferences on the deletion confirmation.
- Choose Unsubscribe. No account sign-in or password is required.
- Keep the confirmation. Unsubscribing from news and offers does not cancel a subscription or stop necessary account and payment messages.
