Automatic connection and startup

Choose when the Apple app starts and when the VPN connects.

1. Connect once to finish VPN setup, then open Settings → General.
2. On Mac, Launch at login starts the app quietly in the menu bar when you log in. It does not, by itself, connect the VPN.
3. On Mac, Connect automatically connects now and when the app starts. Disconnect keeps it off until you press Connect or restart the app.
4. On iPhone or iPad, Connect automatically connects now and reconnects after you restart and unlock the device. Disconnect keeps it off until you tap Connect again.

What about Auto-reconnect?

Under Connection protection, Auto-reconnect recovers from interruptions after you connect, including while the app is closed. A manual Disconnect pauses it. It is included while Connect automatically is on.
