Kill switch and DNS protection

Understand what protects your traffic while the VPN is running.

1. In the Apple app, open Settings → Connection protection. DNS protection is active while connected, and the VPN routes IPv4 and IPv6 traffic.
2. The kill switch keeps traffic inside the VPN during interruptions. Internet access may pause while the connection recovers.
3. Keep Auto-reconnect on if you want recovery after interruptions. It is included when Connect automatically is on.
4. To deliberately use normal internet, choose Disconnect and confirm any warning. Press Connect again when you want VPN protection back.
